I don't know what is going on around the Pee Dee right now with all these fires. It seems everyday another fire destroys anothers life.
Just this weekend an 11-year old boy died in a fire in Lamar. This is just so sad to think about. But if there's any light to this, at least he wasn't alone. His dog was found with him. His family told me he was always with that German Shepard of his. He is still with him now, only in heaven. Thankfully the other four who were inside the home were able to get out, but I wish Jamal had been able to as well. It so sad when someone loses their life, especially one that hadn't even really gotten started.
Other fires seem to happen all over the place, but those only homes are lost. Not a life. But still people are without a place to live, clothes, and all the memories that are within that home like pictures, etc.
Sometimes or maybe all the time you wonder why things happen. And most of the time, you never know. I just hope we're all kept safe over these next few days in hopes that maybe, just maybe everyone can have a safe and Merry Christmas.
