Don't you love the title? This concept came from a good friend of mine who got really tired of hearing me on my soapbox about everything. He said I should have my own show called "Reality with Rob"! Then it finally hit me, this is it...the blog..."Reality with Rob"! Sometimes anyway. I'll spare you too much of my nonsense but sometimes you just have to let things off your chest you know.
Sidenote, my friend who came up with the title is leaving the TV business to head out to L.A. to pursue his passion of screenwriting. Theo, good luck, I know you will do well and we look forward to reading your name in the credits one day soon. I love to hear about people following their dreams. In this day and age you don't hear of that a whole lot.
Moving on...my soapbox...as if you cared.
So, I'm watching MSNBC the other day and it is anti-McCain the whole time. Show after show would come on with a different host but the same message was coming across...anti-McCain. Let's be fair, I think most folks would say "Fair and Balanced" is a bit of a stretch for Fox News. So O.K. Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives have their own channels, no big deal right? Wrong! What happened to unbiased? Bipartisan? What happened to NEWS?
Both of these channels call themselves newschannels. I'm sorry but if someone is choosing sides I can't believe anything you say regardless of what side you're on! Therefore, you are NOT the news and I'm not getting the facts!
America really does deserve news that is fair and balanced. What is so wrong with that concept?
Let me hear your thoughts. I know you got one.
